And here many thought ole Ted was a crazy man. He may be old, but his mind is still rapier sharp. Daring to push the boundaries of political correctness, he is the first to publicly express an obvious solution to global warming, excessive debt, excessive demand, spiralling health care and education costs as well as overcrowding with only one simple measure.
Cap and trade kids! Pure genius. This may be the smartest thing he’s thought of since offing Jane Fonda. It’s the most brilliant idea for income and resource redistribution since Obama got elected. People who are economically disadvantaged trade off their potential kids as credits. They can use these credits to improve their lives. Think of the money saved on feeding, caring, health bills, babysitters not to mention higher education. The rich on the other hand can afford to have dozens of kids. These fortunate kids will have access to all the resources and amenities that their wealthy parents can give them.
Less financially advantaged people will find it less onerous to own homes, since they won’t have as many people to house. Heck, that old double wide is going to feel rather palatial! While less visionary people in Cancun scoff at his ideas, sometimes the best solutions are the ones no one wants to embrace. Look at China. Within a generation or two of enforcing the one child society, they are an economic powerhouse!
The logical next step is to solve the global food crisis. Hint: they don’t call them wiener dogs for nothing….
